This falls into the category of “Why didn’t I think of that?”. I am a very big advocate of flat wire springs in AR-15’s, AR-10; and LR-308’s. In the previously mentioned rifles the flat wire springs allow for a longer and softer travel of the recoil system. It simply works well. I have no doubt these Wilson Combat Flat Wire Springs for the 1911 will be a good improvement to any 1911 Pistol. I will order one for testing purposes. Stay tuned.
